Abstract
Description
融合剤は、ここに開示の例に従って調製した。例示的な融合剤の配合を表1に示す。比較例の融合剤も調製した。この比較例の融合剤の配合も表1に示す。量は、重量パーセントとして記載されている。カーボンブラック顔料は配合物に対し、水性分散物(水およびポリマー分散剤を含む)の形態で添加したが、表1に示された量は、カーボンブラック顔料の実際の量を表している。
融合剤中に用いられる顔料の種類が、形成される3D物体の機械的特性に及ぼす影響を試験するために、3つの異なるカーボンブラック顔料分散物を使用して、3つの異なる融合剤を作成した。他の点では、これらの異なる融合剤のビヒクルは同じであった。ビヒクルは10未満のHLBを有する界面活性剤を含まないことが留意される。1つの実施例融合剤が調製され(実施例CA2)、2つの比較例融合剤が調製された(比較例CA2および3)。比較例のCA2におけるカーボンブラック顔料は、実施例1のCB1(すなわちポリマー分散されていない表面処理されたカーボンブラック顔料)であった。比較例のCA3におけるカーボンブラック顔料は、12,000未満の重量平均分子量を有するスチレンアクリレートでポリマー分散したカーボンブラック顔料であった。実施例のCA2中のカーボンブラック顔料は、実施例1のCB2(すなわちJONCRYL登録商標671−約17,000の重量平均分子量を有するスチレンアクリレート−で分散したカーボンブラック顔料)であった。これらの配合を表3に示す。
融合剤中に使用される抗コゲーション剤のレベルが、形成された3D物体の機械的特性に及ぼす影響を試験するために、2つの異なる抗コゲーション剤レベルを用いて、2つの異なる融合剤を作成した。1つの実施例融合剤を調製し(実施例CA3)、1つの比較例融合剤を調製した(比較例CA4)。これらの配合を表5に示す。

- 3次元(3D)印刷用の融合剤であって:
融合剤の合計重量%の約15重量%から約30重量%の範囲の量で存在する共溶媒;
融合剤の合計重量%の約0.5重量%から約1.4重量%の範囲の量で存在する界面活性剤であり、10未満の親水性親油性バランス(HLB)値を有する界面活性剤;
融合剤の合計重量%の約3.0重量%から約6.0重量%の範囲の量で存在するカーボンブラック顔料;
約12,000から約20,000の範囲の重量平均分子量を有するポリマー分散剤;および
バランス量の水
を含む融合剤。 - 融合剤の合計重量%の約0.03重量%から約0.10重量%の範囲の量で存在するキレート剤をさらに含む、請求項1に記載の融合剤。
