Claims (25)
- 正極、負極、及び前記正極と負極との間に介在した分離膜の構造の電極組立体が電池ケースに内蔵されており、平面視において第1側の外周面の端部に正極端子及び負極端子が突出しており、前記第1側の外周面に対向する第2側の外周面は曲面形状からなることを特徴とする、電池セル。
- 前記第1側の外周面は直線形状からなることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の電池セル。
- 前記第2側の外周面の曲面形状は、中心点が第1側の外周面の方向に向かう円弧であることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の電池セル。
- 前記円弧の半径は、第1側の外周面の長さの50〜300%の大きさであることを特徴とする、請求項3に記載の電池セル。
- 前記第2側の外周面に対応する電極組立体の角部は、第2側の外周面の曲面形状と同一の構造からなることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の電池セル。
- 前記電池セルは、リチウムイオン電池またはリチウムイオンポリマー電池であることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の電池セル。
- 前記電極組立体は、平面の大きさが互いに異なる2つ以上の電極群の積層構造からなることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の電池セル。
- 前記電極群は、スタック型電極群またはスタック/フォールディング型電極群からなることを特徴とする、請求項7に記載の電池セル。
- 前記スタック型電極群は、正極と負極のいずれか一方が最外郭を構成し、最外郭の正極と負極のいずれか一方が分離膜同士間に介在するように、正極、負極、分離膜は積層された状態で接合(laminate)されている構造の第1単位セルを含むことを特徴とする、請求項8に記載の電池セル。
- 前記スタック型電極群は、分離膜が最外郭を構成し、正極と負極のいずれか一方が分離膜同士間に介在するように、正極、負極、分離膜が積層された状態で接合(laminate)されている構造の第2単位セルを含むことを特徴とする、請求項9に記載の電池セル。
- 前記最外郭に位置する電極は負極であることを特徴とする、請求項8に記載の電池セル。
- 前記電極群は、電極端子が同じ方向に配列されるように積層されていることを特徴とする、請求項7に記載の電池セル。
- 前記電極端子が突出している電極群の一面は上下に隣接する構造で形成されていることを特徴とする、請求項12に記載の電池セル。
- 前記電極群のうち少なくとも2つの電極群は、厚さ、横幅(横の長さ)及び縦幅(縦の長さ)のうち少なくとも一つが互いに異なることを特徴とする、請求項7に記載の電池セル。
- 前記電池ケースは、樹脂層と金属層を含むラミネートシートの電池ケース、または金属缶であることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の電池セル。
- 前記ラミネートシートの電池ケースまたは金属缶には、幅と高さにおいて段差構造を有する収納部が形成されていることを特徴とする、請求項15に記載の電池セル。
- 前記ラミネートシートの電池ケースは上部ケース及び下部ケースからなっており、前記上部ケースと下部ケースは、相互結合されて密封された空間内に積層された電極組立体が収容可能なように、電極組立体の積層外形に対応して収納部が形成されていることを特徴とする、請求項16に記載の電池セル。
- 請求項1乃至17のいずれかに記載の電池セルを製造する方法であって、
(a)幅に比べて長さが相対的に長い金属シートに、長さ方向に中央部位(未コーティング部)を除外した両側部位(上部コーティング部及び下部コーティング部)に電極活物質を含む電極合剤をコーティングする過程と、
(b)前記未コーティング部で電極タブが作られ、上部コーティング部及び下部コーティング部で電極本体が作られるように、金属シートから電極板を切り取る過程と、
(c)前記電極板を積層して電極組立体を形成する過程とを含むことを特徴とする、方法。 - 前記金属シートをノッチングして電極板を切り取ることを特徴とする、請求項18に記載の方法。
- 前記金属シートをパンチングして電極板を切り取ることを特徴とする、請求項18に記載の方法。
- 前記未コーティング部の幅が上側電極板のタブの長さと下側電極板のタブの長さとの和よりも小さくなるように、金属シートから電極板を切きり取ることを特徴とする、請求項18に記載の方法。
- 請求項1又は17に記載の電池セルを電源として含んでいるデバイス。
- 前記デバイスは、携帯電話、PDA、スマートフォン、MP3プレーヤーから選択されることを特徴とする、請求項22に記載のデバイス。
- 請求項1又は17に記載の電池セルを単位電池として2つ以上含んでいる電池パックが内蔵されているデバイス。
- 前記デバイスは、携帯電話、携帯用コンピュータ、スマートフォン、タブレットPC、スマートパッド、ネットブック、LEV(Light Electronic Vehicle)、電気自動車、ハイブリッド電気自動車、プラグインハイブリッド電気自動車、及び電力貯蔵装置から選択されることを特徴とする、請求項24に記載のデバイス。
