Claims (13)
- 一般式がMxCeyPrzSi6N8+wで表される蛍光体であり、
Mは、La,Y,Tb,Luの群から選ばれる少なくとも1種類以上の元素であり、
2.0<x<3.5、
0<y<1.0、
0<z<0.05、
2.0<w<4.0
を満たすことを特徴とする蛍光体。 - 請求項1に記載の蛍光体であって、
前記x、y、zについて、それぞれ、2.0<x<3.0、0<y<0.5、0<z<0.03であることを特徴とする蛍光体。 - 請求項1または2に記載の蛍光体であって、
前記蛍光体は、紫外線乃至青色の可視光を吸収して発光するものであり、
該発光の発光スペクトルは、波長が515nm〜545nmの範囲に第1の発光ピークと、波長が610nm〜620nmの範囲に第2の発光ピークとを有することを特徴とする蛍光体。 - 請求項3に記載の蛍光体であって、
前記発光スペクトルについて、第1の発光ピークの発光強度に対する、第2の発光ピークの発光強度の比(Ip2/Ip1)が、0.56<Ip2/Ip1であることを特徴とする蛍光体。 - 請求項1〜4のいずれか一に記載の蛍光体であって、
前記蛍光体が、10〜10000ppmのフッ素を含有してなることを特徴とする蛍光体。 - 請求項1〜5のいずれか一に記載の蛍光体であって、
前記蛍光体が、100〜10000ppmの酸素を含有してなることを特徴とする蛍光体。 - 請求項1〜6のいずれか一に記載の蛍光体であって、
前記蛍光体の50重量%以上が結晶相を有していることを特徴とする蛍光体。 - 紫外から青色領域の間の光を発する励起光源と、

以下の一般式で表される組成に含有される元素を含む単体、酸化物、窒化物又は炭酸塩を調製すると共に、粉砕して混合する工程と、
得られた原料を容器に詰め、還元雰囲気中にて焼成する工程と、
焼成物を固液分離して乾燥し、粉砕、分散、濾過して蛍光体粉末を得る工程と、
を含むことを特徴とする蛍光体の製造方法。

MはLa,Y,Tb,Luの群から選ばれる少なくとも1種類以上の元素が含有されており、2.0<x<3.5、0<y<1.0、0<z<0.05、2.0<w<4.0を満たす。 - 請求項10に記載の蛍光体の製造方法であって、
焼成物を酸性溶液中で処理することにより、焼成物に含まれる不純物の含有量を低減させることを特徴とする蛍光体の製造方法。 - 請求項11に記載の蛍光体の製造方法であって、
前記酸性溶液は、塩酸を含むことを特徴とする蛍光体の製造方法。 - 請求項10〜12のいずれか一に記載の蛍光体の製造方法であって、前記原料中にフッ化物を含有してなることを特徴とする蛍光体の製造方法。
