Description

実施例1:セリンによるVSCの低減
[00042] セリンおよび他のアミノ酸のVSCへの作用を試験した。全唾液をシステインならびにセリン、プロリン、チロシン、グリシン、アスパラギン、グルタミン酸、およびヒスチジンから選択される追加のアミノ酸と共に一夜保温した。この実験において、10%の0.1%アミノ酸溶液を50%の全唾液に添加した。VSCに関してGC測定を行った。セリンは唾液およびシステインのみを含有する試料と比較して最も大きいVSCのパーセント低減を示すことが分かった。結果を表1に示す。
実施例2:セリンによるインドールの低減
[00044] セリンのインドールへの作用を試験した。トリプトファン(0.14%)および様々な濃度のセリンを含む全唾液を37℃で一夜保温した。24時間後、試料を25℃まで放冷した。その試料をヘキサンで抽出し、有機層をGCの定量化のために用いた。表2はセリン濃度のインドールの形成への作用を示す。
実施例3:乳酸亜鉛およびセリンによるVSCの低減
[00046] 乳酸亜鉛およびセリンのVSCへの作用を試験した。トリプトファン(0.14%)、乳酸亜鉛(0.16%)、および必要な場合にはセリン(0.42%)を含む全唾液を37℃で一夜保温した。24時間後、試料を25℃まで放冷した。次いでその試料を、GCを用いてヘッドスペースのVSCに関して定量化した。表3は、セリン有りおよび無しでの乳酸亜鉛のVSC生成への作用を示す。
実施例4:乳酸亜鉛およびセリンによるインドールの低減

Claims (24)
- セリンが硫化水素、インドール、およびそれらの混合物からなるグループから選択される少なくとも1つのメンバーにより引き起こされる口臭を低減するのに有効な量で存在する、セリンを含む口腔ケア組成物。
- セリンがその組成物中に0.01〜10%w/wの濃度で存在する、請求項1に記載の口腔ケア組成物。
- セリンがその組成物中に0.1〜5%w/wの濃度で存在する、請求項2に記載の口腔ケア組成物。
- セリンがその組成物中に0.4〜1%w/wの濃度で存在する、請求項3に記載の口腔ケア組成物。
- その組成物がさらに酸化剤、金属キレート剤、および抗微生物剤から選択される1種類以上の薬剤を含む、請求項1に記載の口腔ケア組成物。
- 1種類以上の酸化剤がH2O2およびClO2から選択される、請求項5に記載の口腔ケア組成物。
- 1種類以上の金属キレート剤がZn2+およびSn2+を含有する化合物から選択される、請求項5に記載の口腔ケア組成物。
- そのZn2+を含有する化合物が乳酸亜鉛、クエン酸亜鉛、酸化亜鉛、および塩化亜鉛からなるグループから選択される、請求項7に記載の口腔ケア組成物。
- そのZn2+を含有する化合物が乳酸亜鉛であり、その乳酸亜鉛がその組成物中に0.1〜0.5%w/wの濃度で存在する、請求項8に記載の口腔ケア組成物。
- 1種類以上の抗微生物剤がトリクロサン、塩化セチルピリジニウム、クロルヘキシジン、植物抽出物、および1種類以上の精油からなるグループから選択される、請求項5に記載の口腔ケア組成物。
- さらに抗プラーク剤、白化剤、甘味剤、清浄剤および香味料から選択される1種類以上の薬剤を含む、請求項1に記載の口腔ケア組成物。
- さらに練り歯磨き、歯科用クリーム、マウスウォッシュ、チューインガムまたは歯科用接着剤のための口に許容できるキャリヤーを含む、請求項1に記載の口腔ケア組成物。
- 口腔にセリンを含む口腔ケア組成物を適用することを含み、セリンが硫化水素、インドール、およびそれらの混合物からなるグループから選択される少なくとも1つの構成要素により引き起こされる口臭を低減するのに有効な量で存在する、口臭の処置または予防の方法。
