Abstract
Description
図5は、代替的なスリーブ/ロッドアセンブリを示す。この実施形態においては、各スリーブは、例えば図1および図2に図示される種類などの固定デバイス内にクランプ固定されることとなる一方の固定ロッドセクション52と一体である。各スリーブ50の他方の端部は、他方の固定ロッドの湾曲状セクション54を受ける。この湾曲状セクション54は、別の椎骨などの隣接する骨パーツ中に設置された固定デバイス内においてクランプ固定するための直線状セクション56と合併される。湾曲状セクション54は、その軸方向に沿った表面上に溝56が形成されている。スリーブ50の壁部を貫通して押し込まれるねじ58が、溝56内に延在する。溝は、スリーブ内のロッドの端部の手前で終端して、ロッドがスリーブから完全に抜け出るのを防ぐ。さらに、当然ながら、ねじと溝との係合により、スリーブに対するロッドの回転が阻止される。ロッドセクション54を受けるスリーブの内部は、同じ意味において湾曲している。したがって、ロッド54が、それが装着された骨パーツ(椎骨)同士が離れるに連れてスリーブから引き出される際、図示されるように、この離動は曲線のラインに沿うように強制される。2つのスリーブおよび各ロッドセクションに関して、これらの曲線は合わせられ、その結果、整列されたロッドセクションは、隣接し合う骨パーツが抑制される湾曲面に事実上相当する面を規定する。

Claims (16)
- 脊椎手術後に隣接し合う椎骨の配列を制御するための固定システムであって、整列された固定ロッドと;前記椎骨のそれぞれの上に設置し、固定ロッドを保持するための取付部と;及び前記取付部間において整列された状態にある前記ロッドの並置される端部を受けるためのスリーブであり、前記ロッドの少なくとも一方が、他方に対して前記スリーブ内で移動可能であり、それにより隣接し合う椎骨の移動を制御することが可能となる、スリーブとを備える、固定システム。
- 脊椎手術後に隣接し合う椎骨の配列を制御するための固定システムであって、整列された固定ロッドと;前記椎骨のそれぞれの上に設置し、固定ロッドを保持するための取付部と;及び整列された状態にある前記ロッドの並置される端部を受けるためのスリーブであり、このスリーブは、前記ロッドの少なくとも一方が他方に対してこのスリーブ内で移動可能であり、それにより隣接し合う椎骨の移動を制御することが可能となる状態で、前記取付部内に固定される、スリーブとを備える、固定システム。
- 前記スリーブは、停止部を備え、それにより前記ロッドの少なくとも一方の前記移動が、前記スリーブ内に前記ロッドの少なくとも一方の最小端部長さを保持するように限定される、請求項1または2に記載の固定システム。
- 前記スリーブ内の内部スピゴットが、前記各ロッドの表面上に軸方向に延在する長手方向溝内に受けられ、前記溝は、前記ロッド端部の手前で終端する、請求項3に記載の固定システム。
- 前記固定ロッドの少なくとも一方が湾曲している、前記請求項のいずれかに記載の固定システム。
- 前記スリーブ内で移動可能な前記ロッドは、前記スリーブ内に延在する湾曲セクションを有し、前記スリーブは、それに対応するように湾曲している、請求項5に記載の固定システム。
- 前記可動ロッドおよび前記可動ロッドが中に受けられる前記スリーブのセクションが、相補的な非円形断面を有し、それにより前記スリーブ内における前記ロッドの回転を防止する、前記請求項のいずれかに記載の固定システム。
- 各前記椎骨上に固定ロッドを保持するための一対の前記取付部と、前記各ロッドの並置される端部を受けるための2つの前記スリーブとを備え、前記ロッドおよび前記スリーブは、移動可能平面を規定する、前記請求項のいずれかに記載の固定システム。
- 前記2つのスリーブは、共に結合される、請求項8に記載の固定システム。
- 各対の取付部が、前記椎骨に固定される同一のデバイスの一部である、請求項8または9に記載の固定システム。
- 少なくとも一方のロッドが、一体ユニット内のその各スリーブに対して固定される、前記請求項のいずれかに記載の固定システム。
- 脊椎手術後に隣接し合う椎骨の配列を制御する方法であって、手術下において前記脊椎の複数の椎骨のそれぞれの上に固定ロッドのための取付部を取り付けるステップと、複数の整列された固定ロッドを、整列されたロッドの並置される端部がスリーブ内に位置する状態において、前記取付部内に固定するステップであり、前記ロッドの少なくとも1つが、摺動自在であり、前記スリーブ内における前記少なくとも1つのロッドの移動により、前記脊椎がさらなる介入を伴うことなく成長することを可能とするステップとを含む、方法。
- 前記スリーブは、取付部内に固定される、請求項12に記載の方法。
- 前記固定ロッドの中の少なくとも1つが湾曲している、請求項12または13に記載の方法。
- 前記スリーブ内において移動可能な前記ロッドは、前記スリーブ内に延在する湾曲セクションを有し、前記スリーブは、それに対応するように湾曲している、請求項14に記載の方法。
