Claims (25)
- 複数の発光ダイオードと、
ディスプレイに関するバックライトであるように構成される導波路と、
を有し、
前記導波路は、当該導波路から光が発される前表面、前記前表面に対向する後表面、並びに、前記前表面及び前記後表面間にある側縁部を有し、前記導波路は前記後表面における複数の空洞を有し、前記複数の発光ダイオードは、前記導波路に関する光源として作用するために、前記複数の空洞へ挿入され且つ光学的に当該導波路へ結合される、
装置。 - 請求項1に記載の装置であって、前記導波路は、中央領域において前記前表面及び前記後表面間に第1厚さ、及び、前記側縁部において第2厚さを有し、前記第2厚さは前記第1厚さの半分より少ない、装置。
- 請求項2に記載の装置であって、前記第2厚さはゼロである、装置。
- 請求項1に記載の装置であって、前記導波路の前記側縁部においてベゼルが存在しない、装置。
- 請求項1に記載の装置であって、更に、前記導波路の前記側縁部においてベゼルを有し、前記ベゼル及び前記側縁部の間に光源が存在しない、装置。
- 請求項1に記載の装置であって、前記複数の発光ダイオードのそれぞれは、波長変換要素を含む、装置。
- 請求項1に記載の装置であって、更に、前記導波路へ装着される波長変換要素を含む、装置。
- 請求項7に記載の装置であって、前記波長変換要素は、前記導波路の前記前表面へ装着される、装置。
- 請求項1に記載の装置であって、更に、前記導波路の前記前表面へ光学的に当該導波路結合されるLCDを含む、装置。
- 請求項1に記載の装置であって、前記導波路は対向する側縁部間に幅を有し、前記発光ダイオードは、前記対向する側縁部の最も近い部分から前記幅の25%又はそれより大きい距離において位置される、装置。
- 請求項1に記載の装置であって、前記発光ダイオードは、前記導波路において列及び長方形のうちの少なくとも1つのようにして位置される、装置。
- 請求項1に記載の装置であって、前記発光ダイオードは、側部放射ダイオードである、装置。
- 請求項1に記載の装置であって、前記発光ダイオードは、上部放射ダイオードである、装置。
- 請求項1に記載の装置であって、前記導波路は、第1側縁部を有する第1導波路であり、当該装置は、更に、
第2の複数の発光ダイオードと、
ディスプレイに関するバックライトであるように構成される第2導波路と、
を有し、
前記第2導波路は、当該第2導波路から光が発される前表面、前記前表面に対向する底部表面、並びに、前記前表面及び前記後表面間にあり第1側縁部を含む側縁部を有し、前記第2導波路は前記後表面において複数の空洞を有し、前記第2の複数の発光ダイオードは、前記第2導波路に関する光源として作用するために、前記複数の空洞へ挿入され且つ当該第2導波路へ光学的に結合され、前記第1導波路及び第2導波路は、前記第1導波路の前記第1側縁部及び前記第2導波路の前記第1側縁部が互いに隣接するように位置される、
装置。 - 請求項14に記載の装置であって、前記複数の発光ダイオードが挿入される前記第1導波路の前記後表面における前記複数の空洞は、前記第1導波路の前記第1側縁部に沿って位置し、前記第2の複数の発光ダイオードが挿入される前記第2導波路の前記後表面における前記複数の空洞は、前記第2導波路の前記第1側縁部に沿って位置する、装置。
- 請求項14に記載の装置であって、更にLCDスクリーンを含み、前記第1導波路及び第2導波路は、「V」形状を一体に有するように構成され、前記第1導波路の前記第1側縁部及び前記第2導波路の前記第1側縁部は、前記第1導波路の前記第1側縁部に対向する前記第1導波路の第2側縁部、及び、前記第2導波路の前記第1側縁部に対向する前記第2導波路の第2側縁部よりも、前記LCDスクリーンから離れている、装置。
- 複数の発光ダイオードと、
ディスプレイに関するバックライトであるように構成される導波路と、
を有し、
前記導波路は、当該導波路から光が発される前表面、前記前表面に対向する後表面、並びに、前記前表面及び前記後表面間にある側部を有し、前記複数の側部放射発光ダイオードは、前記後表面の中央領域へ光学的に結合され、前記導波路は、前記導波路の前記側部においてよりも前記中央領域において大きい前記前表面及び前記後表面間における厚さを有する、装置。 - 請求項17に記載の装置であって、前記導波路の前記側部における前記前表面及び後表面の間の前記厚さは、前記導波路の前記中央領域における前記前表面及び後表面の間の前記厚さの半分である、装置。
- 請求項17に記載の装置であって、前記導波路は、前記複数の発光ダイオードが挿入される前記後表面における複数の空洞を含む、装置。
- 請求項17に記載の装置であって、前記導波路の前記側部においてベゼルが存在しない、装置。
- 請求項17に記載の装置であって、更に、前記導波路の前記側部においてベゼルを含み、前記ベゼルは1mmより小さい高さを有する、装置。
- 請求項17に記載の装置であって、前記複数の発光ダイオードのそれぞれは、波長変換要素を含む、装置。
- 請求項17に記載の装置であって、更に、前記導波路へ装着される波長変換要素を含む、装置。
- 請求項17に記載の装置であって、前記導波路は幅を有し、前記発光ダイオードは、前記幅に沿って前記側部の最も近い部分から前記幅の25%又はそれより大きい距離において位置される、装置。
- 請求項17に記載の装置であって、前記発光ダイオードは、前記導波路において列及び長方形のうちの少なくとも1つのようにして位置される、装置。
