Abstract
Description
水が存在するときに引き起こされる問題を評価するために、硫化された銅化合物と硫化された亜鉛化合物とを含む粒径1〜2mmの粒状吸収剤25ml、アルミナ担体、および単一のセメント結合剤を実験室規模の管状吸収容器(i.d.18mm)に仕込んだ。硫化吸収剤の銅含量は45重量%(酸化物として)であり、亜鉛含量は22重量%(酸化物として)であった。
フラッシュ乾燥したヒドロキシ炭酸銅を20もしくは30重量部;アルミナ三水和物を80もしくは70重量部;および約40重量%のCaO含量を有するアルミン酸カルシウムセメント10部とアタパルジャイトクレイ4部を含んでなる結合剤を14重量部;を含む組成物を使用して、グラニュレーター中にて吸収剤前駆体組成物を作製した。
フラッシュ乾燥したヒドロキシ炭酸銅を25重量部;アルミナ三水和物を75重量部;および約40重量%のCaO含量を有するアルミン酸カルシウムセメント10部とアタパルジャイトクレイ4部を含んでなる結合剤を14重量部;を含む組成物を使用して、グラニュレーター中にて吸収剤前駆体組成物を作製した。
60mlの吸収剤顆粒(サイズカット2〜5mm)を、100mlのプラスチック製メスシリンダー中に秤量した。質量を体積で割ることによって密度を算出した。一定の体積となるよう、シリンダーを手で軽くたたいた。質量をタップ体積で割ることによって密度(TBD)を算出した。
エンジニアリング・システムズCT−5を使用して、吸収剤顆粒の平均圧潰強さ(MCS)を測定した。機器に5kgのロードセルを取り付け、較正した。試験用に選定したグラニュールのサイズは、圧潰強さに及ぼす顆粒サイズの影響を少なくするために3〜4mmであった。各吸収剤の顆粒を20回、圧潰し、統計的分析を行った。
LECO SC632を使用して、燃焼とそれに続く二酸化イオウの赤外線測定により、イオウ含量に対する分析を行った。
窒素パージを使用してサンプルを140℃で1時間ガス抜きしてから、BET表面積/等温線を測定した。
Philips Magix−Pro/Bruker SRS3400を使用して半定量的なXRF分析を行った。これらの結果から、相対的なピーク強度を比較することによって、吸収剤サンプル中の各元素の相対存在量が分かる。
Claims (17)
- 5〜50重量%の粒状の硫化された銅化合物、30〜90重量%の粒状担体物質、および残部の1種以上の結合剤を含み、ここで硫化銅以外の金属硫化物の含量が5重量%以下である、流体流れから水銀、ヒ素、またはアンチモンを除去するのに適した吸収剤組成物。
- 硫化された銅化合物が、硫化された塩基性炭酸銅、硫化された水酸化銅、硫化された酸化銅、またはこれらの混合物である、請求項1に記載の吸収剤。
- 担体物質が、アルミナ、水和アルミナ、チタニア、ジルコニア、シリカ、アルミノケイ酸塩、またはこれらの2種以上の混合物である、請求項1または2に記載の吸収剤。
- 吸収剤中の結合剤含量が5〜20重量%の範囲である、請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載の吸収剤。
- 第1の結合剤と、必要に応じて第2の結合剤を含み、ここで第1の結合剤がセメント結合剤であり、第2の結合剤が、2より大きいアスペクト比を有する高アスペクト比結合剤である、請求項1〜4のいずれか一項に記載の吸収剤。
- 第1の結合剤がアルミン酸カルシウムセメント結合剤である、請求項5に記載の吸収剤。
- 第2の結合剤がアルミノシリケートクレイである、請求項5または6に記載の吸収剤。
- 第2の結合剤がアタパルジャイトクレイである、請求項5〜7のいずれか一項に記載の吸収剤。
- 第1の結合剤と第2の結合剤との相対量が、第1の結合剤の第2の結合剤に対する量として、1:1〜3:1の範囲である、請求項5〜8のいずれか一項に記載の吸収剤。
- 硫化銅以外の全金属硫化物の含量が1重量%以下であり、さらに好ましくは0.5重量%以下であり、特に0.1重量%以下である、請求項1〜9のいずれか一項に記載の吸収剤。
- イオウ密度として表示される吸収剤の密度が50〜200kgS/m3の範囲である、請求項1〜10のいずれか一項に記載の吸収剤。
- i)硫化銅を形成することができる粒状銅化合物、粒状担体物質、および1種以上の結合剤を含む組成物を作製する工程;ii)組成物を造形して吸収剤前駆体を作製する工程;iii)吸収剤前駆体物質を乾燥する工程;および、iv)前駆体を硫化して吸収剤を作製する工程;を含む、請求項1〜11のいずれか一項に記載の吸収剤の製造方法。
- 硫化工程が、硫化水素、硫化カルボニル、メルカプタン、および多硫化物から選択されるイオウ化合物と、乾燥した吸収剤前駆体中に金属硫化物を形成することができる金属化合物とを反応させることによって行われる、請求項12に記載の製造方法。
- 請求項1〜11のいずれか一項に記載の吸収剤、あるいは請求項12または13に従って作製した吸収剤とプロセス流体とを接触させることを含む、プロセス流体から水銀、ヒ素、またはアンチモンを除去する方法。
- 水銀含有流体が、水を0.02〜5容量%の範囲の量にて含有する、請求項14に記載の水銀除去方法。
- 流体が炭化水素流れである、請求項14または15に記載の水銀除去方法。
- 流体が、オフショア炭化水素流れまたは炭化水素脱水ユニットからの再生流れである、請求項15または16に記載の水銀除去方法。
