Abstract
【解決手段】本発明は液晶表示装置用のバックライトユニットに関するものであって、本発明の一実施形態は、液晶パネルの下部に配置されて前記液晶パネルに光を照射する液晶表示装置用のバックライトユニットにおいて、導光板と、前記導光板の一側面及びこれと垂直な他側面のうち少なくとも一つに配置されて、白色光を発光する一つ以上のLEDで構成されたLEDブロックを複数個備えるLEDアレイ及び前記複数のLEDブロックの夫々に注入される電流信号を制御することによって前記LEDブロック別に輝度を調節する制御部を含む液晶表示装置用のバックライトユニットを提供する。

Claims (15)
- 液晶パネルの下部に配置されて前記液晶パネルに光を照射する液晶表示装置用のバックライトユニットにおいて、
導光板;
前記導光板の側面に配置されて、白色光を発光する一つ以上のLEDで構成されたLEDブロックを複数個備えるLEDアレイ;及び
前記複数のLEDブロックの夫々に注入される電流信号を制御することによって前記LEDブロック別に輝度を調節する制御部;
を含む液晶表示装置用のバックライトユニット。 - 前記導光板はその内部に光の進行を制御することができる分離構造を一つ以上有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置用のバックライトユニット。
- 前記分離構造は前記導光板に対して横及び縦のうち少なくとも一つの方向に配置されることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の液晶表示装置用のバックライトユニット。
- 前記分離構造は回路基板上に搭載されて前記導光板の間に一列に挿入されたLEDアレイ構造及び反射膜のうち少なくとも一つであることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の液晶表示装置用のバックライトユニット。
- 前記分離構造はこれによって分けられた領域間の境界に形成された屈曲部であることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の液晶表示装置用のバックライトユニット。
- 前記LEDアレイは前記導光板の一側面及びこれと垂直な他側面に夫々配置された第1及び第2LEDアレイを備えることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置用のバックライトユニット。
- 前記第1及び第2LEDアレイから放出された光は前記導光板内で互いに重畳されることを特徴とする請求項6に記載の液晶表示装置用のバックライトユニット。
- 前記第1及び第2LEDアレイと夫々前記導光板を介して対向して配置されて、夫々前記第1及び第2LEDと同一の構成を有する第3及び第4LEDアレイをさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項6に記載の液晶表示装置用のバックライトユニット。
- 前記LEDアレイは前記導光板の一側面及びこれと向い合う他側面に夫々配置された第1及び第2LEDアレイを備えることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置用のバックライトユニット。
- 前記LEDブロックは赤色LED、緑色LED及び青色LEDを含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置用のバックライトユニット。
- 前記制御部はLEDブロック駆動制御部とパネル映像信号伝達部を含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置用のバックライトユニット。
- 前記パネル映像信号伝達部はパネル情報伝達回路部とパネル情報組合回路部を含むことを特徴とする請求項11に記載の液晶表示装置用のバックライトユニット。
- 前記導光板の下部に配置された反射板をさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置用のバックライトユニット。
- 前記導光板の上部に配置された光学シートをさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置用のバックライトユニット。
- 前記LEDは少なくとも一つの蛍光物質による白色光を放出することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置用のバックライトユニット。
