Description
ジエチルホスフィン酸のアルミニウム塩(100g)を、実施例3の記載のとおり、900gのガラス繊維を充填したナイロン(ZYTEL 73G33、デュポン社の商標)と共に成型した。1/8インチ厚の見本はUL−94試験にてV−1等級であったが、1/16厚の見本はこの試験に不合格であった。
Claims (15)
- 熱可塑性ポリマー及び燃焼防止に有効な量のホスフィン酸金属塩を含み、前記の金属塩が、不活性雰囲気下での10℃/分の等速昇温における熱重量分析により測定した場合、約300℃にて揮発を開始する、難燃性熱可塑性ポリマー組成物。
- 前記熱可塑性ポリマーが熱可塑性ポリエステルである、請求項1に記載の組成物。
- 前記熱可塑性ポリマーがナイロンである、請求項1に記載の組成物。
- 前記熱可塑性ポリエステルが、ガラス強化ポリエステルである、請求項2に記載の組成物。
- 前記熱可塑性ポリエステルが、ポリエチレンテレフタル酸及びポリブチレンテレフタル酸からなる群から選択される、請求項2に記載の組成物。
- 前記ナイロンが、ガラス強化ナイロンである、請求項3に記載の組成物。
- 前記金属塩が、約300℃で揮発を開始し、約500℃で実質的に揮発を終了する、請求項1に記載の組成物。
- 前記金属塩が、約300℃で揮発を開始し、約400℃で実質的に揮発を終了する、請求項1に記載の組成物。
- 前記のホスフィン酸の金属塩が、ジイソブチルホスフィン酸のアルミニウム塩である、請求項1に記載の組成物。
- 前記のホスフィン酸の金属塩が、全組成物中に約3から約30重量%存在する、請求項1に記載の組成物。
- 前記のホスフィン酸の金属塩が、全組成物中に約5から約20重量%存在する、請求項10に記載の組成物。
