図3は、本発明に係わる防護柵支柱の地覆への固定構造における支持金具の取付け方法の一例を示す縦断面図である。まず(a)において、防護柵支柱10は既設のものであり、地覆部Gに埋設されると共にアンカーボルトの突出端41がベースプレート3に貫通された貫通孔41に挿通され、アンカーナット42が螺着されることで地覆部Gに固定されているものであるが、螺着されているアンカーナット42をアンカーボルトの突出端41から工具を用いて取り外す。アンカーボルトの突出端41が挿通可能なボルト孔121が穿設された水平部12と、水平部12と略直角をなし水平部12の下面から下方に突設された直立部11とを有する支持金具1を用意しておき、(b)に示す如く上方からアンカーボルトの突出端41に水平部12に設けられたボルト孔121が挿通されるように支持金具1をベースプレート3上に載置する。ボルト孔121は、アンカーボルトの突出端41が挿通可能であれば丸孔でもよいが、支持金具1側縁とウエーブ23との間隔を調節できるよう長孔としておくのが好ましい。最後に(c)に示す如くアンカーボルトの突出端41にアンカーナット42を螺着して緊結する。アンカーナット42は、腐食等の問題がなければ先に取り外したものを再度用いるのが好ましい。本発明に係わる防護柵支柱の地覆部への固定構造を適用することで、かかる簡便な作業にて既設の防護柵に対してもアンカーボルトの破断を防止するようにすることができる。   FIG. 3 is a longitudinal sectional view showing an example of a mounting method of the support metal fitting in the structure for fixing the guard fence support to the ground cover according to the present invention.
