Abstract
Description

標準的な内視鏡または腹腔鏡と比べて、比較的狭い体管腔の内部への装置の導入を容易にする一方で、少なくとも1つの比較的大きな器具の導入を提供する管腔内アクセスは、体管腔、導管、器官、開口部、通路などの内部への挿入のために構成された細長い本体を提供することによって達成され得る。細長い本体は、作業軸すなわち主要な長手方向軸および遠位領域、ならびに遠位領域またはその近位に配置される少なくとも1つの関節運動要素を有する。この関節運動要素は、一般に、この(単数または複数の)要素が作業軸に対し半径方向に拡張可能かつ退縮可能であるように、細長い本体の作業軸から、軸をずらす(off−axis)か、または線上から逸らして(out−of−line)関節運動する(articulate)ように構成される。この要素は、例えば、上記細長い本体を通って延びる作業管の遠位領域;光ファイバーまたはビデオチップのような可視化要素;診断用器具または治療用器具;あるいは照明要素を備え得る。さらなる代替の関節運動要素は、当業者に明らかである。
