Abstract
Description
1又は2以上の特定の実施形態では、実質的に直鎖状の低密度ポリエチレン組成物を指向し、これは好ましくは:(a)0.935g/cc以下密度を有し;(b)10%以下の雲価を有し;(c)100g/mil以上のダーツ衝撃を有し;(d)0.95以上の平均長鎖分枝指数を有し;(e)100,000以上の分子量をもつ該組成物の如何なる部分に対しても0.85以下のスライス長鎖分枝指数を有する。
本明細書で使用する種々の用語を以下に定義する。請求項に使用されている用語が以下又は本明細書のその他の箇所で定義されていないときは、出版物や発行特許において当業者がその用語に与えてきた最も広い定義が与えられるべきである。

本明細書に記載のポリマーの何れか(例:ブレンドを作るのに使用するポリエチレン成分)を形成するのに使用する重合プロセスは任意の適当なプロセス(例えば、高圧、溶液、スラリー及び気相)を使用して行うことができる。ある種のポリエチレンは気相重合プロセス(例:流動層反応器を利用)を用いて製造することができる。この種の反応器や反応器の操作手段は周知であり、例えば米国特許第3,709,853号;同第4,003,712号;同第4,011,382号;同第4,302,566号;同第4,543,399号;同第4,882,400号;同第5,352,749号;同第5,541,270号;欧州特許出願公開第0 802 202号及びベルギー特許第839,380号に完全に記載されている。上記特許では、重合媒体が機械撹拌される又は気体状モノマーと希釈剤の連続流によって流動化される気相重合プロセスを開示している。
表1は、Exceed(登録商標)1018CA(ExxonMobil Chemical社から販売されている直鎖状低密度ポリエチレン(LLDPE)で、公称密度=0.918g/cc、公称MI=1.0 dg/mil、平均LCB指数(g')=0.97超)のみから成る非ブレンド組成物を原料として製造した4種類のフィルムのサンプルについての種々の特性及び加工条件を示す。一般に、本発明に有用なLLDPE製品は好ましくは0.918〜0.922g/cm3の密度、0.8〜1.2dg/minのMI、及び0.97超の平均g’を有する。サンプル1及び2は実施した第一ブレンド試験(First Blend Study)におけるExceed 1018CAを原料として製造したフィルムのサンプルであり、同一ロットのExceed 1018CA樹脂を表2のブレンド組成物中に含有させた。サンプル3及び4は、実施した第二ブレンド試験(Second Blend Study)におけるExceed 1018CAを原料として製造したフィルムのサンプルであり、同一ロットのExceed 1018CAを表3のブレンド組成物中に含有させた。
表2にはExceed 1018CA樹脂を異なる量でブレンドした7種類のポリエチレン樹脂を原料として製造した組成物の21個のサンプルについて、該組成物から製造したフィルムの雲価及びダーツ衝撃、更にはg’≦0.90である組成物のwt.%が記載されている。
表3には、サンプル3及び4の製造に使用したのと同一ロットのExceed 1018を異なる量でブレンドした5種類のポリエチレン樹脂を原料として製造した組成物の15個のサンプルについて、該組成物から製造したフィルムの雲価及びダーツ衝撃、更にはSLCB≦0.90である組成物のwt.%が記載されている。
表4及び5は、Exceed 1018CAのみを用いて製造したフィルムと比較した、表2及び3のブレンドを用いて製造したフィルムの雲価及びダーツ衝撃の相対的変化を示す。
図1に示すように、幾つかの組成物では分子量軸に沿った一定の領域において平均スライス値が突然減少又は降下した。これらの組成物は低雲価を有しつつも高いダーツ衝撃値を保持した。
Claims (12)
- (a)0.935g/cc以下の密度を有し;(b)10%以下の雲価を有し;(c)100g/mil(3937g/mm)以上のダーツ衝撃を有し;(d)0.95以上の平均長鎖分枝指数を有し;(e)100,000以上の分子量をもつ組成物の如何なる部分に対しても0.85以下のスライス長鎖分枝指数を有する、実質的に直鎖状の低密度ポリエチレン組成物。
- (a)0.935g/cc以下の密度を有し;(b)10%以下の雲価を有し;(c)100g/mil(3937g/mm)以上のダーツ衝撃を有し;(d)0.95以上の平均長鎖分枝指数を有する実質的に直鎖状の低密度ポリエチレン組成物であって;(e)分子の第一部分は0.90を超えるスライス長鎖分枝指数を有し、該第一部分は該組成物の95.0重量%以上を占め;(f)分子の第二部分は0.90以下のスライス長鎖分枝指数を有し、該第二部分は該組成物の0.2重量%より多く、5.0重量%より少ないポリエチレン組成物。
- (a)0.935g/cc以下の密度を有し;(b)10%以下の雲価を有し;(c)100g/mil(3937g/mm)以上のダーツ衝撃を有し;(d)0.95以上の平均長鎖分枝指数を有する実質的に直鎖状の低密度ポリエチレン組成物であって;(e)該組成物は第一のポリエチレン成分と第二のポリエチレン成分のブレンドを含み;(f)第二のポリエチレン成分は10重量%より少ない量で存在し;(g)第二のポリエチレン成分の平均長鎖分枝指数は0.85未満であるポリエチレン組成物。
- 前記スライス長鎖分枝指数が、100,000以上の分子量をもつ組成物の如何なる部分に対しても0.80以下である請求項1又は2に記載の組成物。
- 多分散性指数(PDI)が2〜7である請求項1、2又は3に記載の組成物。
- 分子の第二の部分は組成物の4.5重量%以下を占める請求項2に記載の組成物。
- 分子の第二の部分は0.85以下のスライス長鎖分枝指数を有する請求項2に記載の組成物。
- 第二のポリエチレン成分は組成物の5重量%未満を占めるポリエチレンである請求項3に記載の組成物。
- 第二のポリエチレン成分は0.945g/cc以上の密度を有する高密度ポリエチレンを含む請求項3に記載の組成物。
- 第一のポリエチレン成分は平均長鎖分枝指数が0.96以上であるポリエチレンを含む請求項3に記載の組成物。
- 第一のポリエチレン成分の多分散性指数(PDI)が2〜7である請求項3に記載の組成物。
- 第二のポリエチレン成分の多分散性指数(PDI)が5〜25である請求項3に記載の組成物。
