Abstract
Description
本発明は、生分解性脂肪族ポリエステルと第2のポリマーを含むポリマー混合物により形成された不織ウェブに関する。本発明は又、生分解性脂肪族ポリエステルポリマーにより形成された不織ウェブの強度の改良方法に関する。特に、不織ウェブの引裂強度が改善される。
本明細書で用いられる「含む」という用語は、包括的又は非制限的な用語であり、記載されていない要素や、合成構成部品、又は方法のステップを追加することを除外するものではない。
不織ウェブを形成するポリマーとして、本発明のポリマー混合物を用いると、不織ウェブは、生分解性脂肪族ポリエステルポリマー単独で形成される不織ウェブと比較して、引裂強度が改善される。驚くべきことは、結果として得られた不織ウェブにおいては、生分解性又は引張強度のような他の物理的性質に悪影響を及ぼすことなく、引裂強度が改善されるということである。
カーギル−ダウ社から得られる6200Dグレイドのポリ乳酸が、温度約430℃において押出機により押し出された。ポリラクチドは、次いで0.4グラム/穴/分の処理能力で、50穴/in(20holes/cm)の紡糸盤を通して押し出すことにより紡糸された。その結果得られた繊維は、約14℃の温度で約15ポンド・平方インチの圧力により繊維引取ユニットを通して引き取られた。その結果得られたスパンボンド不織布は、アーノルド他に付与された米国特許第5,707,468号で説明されている形式の150℃温風ナイフ処理に曝された。不織布は、104℃の温度及び25psiの圧力で、二つの円滑な圧縮ロールを用いて軽く結合された。結果的に得られた軽く結合したスパンボンド不織布は、坪量が約34gsmであった。
Claims (28)
- 重量割合で約65%から約99%までの生分解性脂肪族ポリエステルポリマーと、重量割合で約1%から約35%までの第2のポリマーとを含み、前記第2のポリマーは、非結晶性で、前記脂肪族ポリエステルポリマーより融点が低いポリマーと、前記脂肪族ポリエステルポリマーより分子量が低いポリマーと、これらの混合物とから成るグループから選択されたポリマー混合物により形成されたことを特徴とする生分解性不織ウェブ。
- 請求項1に記載した生分解性不織ウェブであって、前記脂肪族ポリエステルは、ポリヒドロキシブチレート(PHP)、ポリハイドロキシブチレートコバレレート(PHBV)、ポリカプロラクタン、ポリブチレンサクシネート、ポリブチレンサクシネートコアジペート、ポリグリコール酸(PGA)、ポリラクチド又はポリ乳酸(PLA)、ポリブチレンシュウ酸塩、ポリエチレンアジピン酸塩、ポリパラディオキサノン、ポリモルフォリンヴァイオネス、及びポリジオキシペン−2−オンから選択された、少なくとも一つのポリマーを含むことを特徴とする生分解性不織ウェブ。
- 請求項2に記載した生分解性不織ウェブであって、前記脂肪族ポリエステルは、ポリラクチドを含むことを特徴とする生分解性不織ウェブ。
- 請求項3に記載した生分解性不織ウェブであって、前記ポリラクチドは、D−異性体が例え存在しても3%未満であるポリ(L−ラクチド)を含むことを特徴とする生分解性不織ウェブ。
- 請求項4に記載した生分解性不織ウェブであって、前記ポリラクチドは、D−異性体が例え存在しても2%未満であるポリ(L−ラクチド)を含むことを特徴とする生分解性不織ウェブ。
- 請求項1に記載した生分解性不織ウェブであって、前記第2のポリマーが、生分解性脂肪族ポリエステルポリマー、ポリオレフィン、ポリアミン、テルペン樹脂、エチレンから誘導されたエチレン共重合体、及び単量体を含む非炭化水素又はウッド・ロジンを含むことを特徴とする生分解性不織ウェブ。
- 請求項6に記載した生分解性不織ウェブであって、前記第2のポリマーがポリアルファオレフィンを含むことを特徴とする生分解性不織ウェブ。
- 請求項6に記載した生分解性不織ウェブであって、前記第2のポリマーが生分解性脂肪族ポリエステルを含むことを特徴とする生分解性不織ウェブ。
- 請求項6に記載した生分解性不織ウェブであって、前記第2のポリマーが、前記第1の生分解性脂肪族ポリエステルの融点より少なくとも10℃低い融点の生分解性脂肪族ポリエステルを含むことを特徴とする生分解性不織ウェブ。
- 請求項1に記載した生分解性不織ウェブであって、前記不織ウェブは、メルトブロー不織ウェブ、スパンボンド不織ウェブ、ボンデッドカーデッドウェブ、又は空気堆積不織ウェブであることを特徴とする生分解性不織ウェブ。
- 請求項10に記載した生分解性不織ウェブであって、前記不織ウェブは、スパンボンド不織ウェブであることを特徴とする生分解性不織ウェブ。
- 請求項1に記載した生分解性不織ウェブであって、前記不織ウェブは、少なくとも外側表面の部分に前記ポリマー混合物を含む多成分繊維を含むことを特徴とする生分解性不織ウェブ。
- 請求項1に記載した生分解性不織ウェブであって、前記不織ウェブは、スパンボンド不織ウェブであり、前記生分解性ポリマーはポリラクチドを含み、該ポリラクチドは、前記ポリラクチドの重量に基づく量が約3%未満のD−ラクチド異性体を含みであり、前記第2のポリマーはポリアルファオレフィンを含み、混合物は重量で約85−98%のポリラクチドと約2−15%のポリアルファオレフィンを含むことを特徴とする生分解性不織ウェブ。
- 請求項1に記載した生分解性不織ウェブであって、前記不織ウェブは、スパンボンド不織ウェブであり、前記生分解性ポリマーは、D−ラクチド異性体の量が約3%未満であるポリラクチドを含み、前記第2のポリマーは、ポリラクチドの重量に基づくD−ラクチド異性体の量が約3ないし9%の範囲のポリラクチドを含み、前記混合物は重量割合で約65ないし75%の範囲のポリラクチドと約25ないし35%の範囲のポリアルファオレフィンを含むことを特徴とする生分解性不織ウェブ。
- 製品の構成材として請求項1に記載した不織ウェブを含むことを特徴とするパーソナルケア製品。
- 請求項15に記載したパーソナルケア製品であって、前記パーソナルケア製品はおむつであることを特徴とするパーソナルケア製品。

- 生分解性脂肪族ポリエステルポリマーにより形成された生分解性不織ウェブの引裂強度を増強する方法であって、生分解性脂肪族ポリエステルポリマーと、該生分解性脂肪族ポリエステルポリマーより融点が低いポリマー、該生分解性脂肪族ポリエステルポリマーより分子量が低いポリマー及びそれらの混合物からなるグループから選択されたポリマーとの混合物を形成し、該混合物から不織ウェブを形成し、該不織ウェブを結合することからなる方法。
- ポリマー混合物により形成された繊維であって、重量割合で約65%から約99%までの生分解性脂肪族ポリエステルポリマーと、重量割合で約1%から約35%までの第2のポリマーとを含み、前記第2のポリマーは、非結晶性で、前記脂肪族ポリエステルポリマーより融点が低いポリマー、前記脂肪族ポリエステルポリマーより分子量が低いポリマー、及びそれらの混合物からなるグループから選択されたことを特徴とする繊維。
- ステープル繊維であることを特徴とする請求項26に記載した繊維。
- 実質的に連続するフィラメントであることを特徴とする請求項26に記載した繊維。
