Abstract
【解決手段】第2金属セパレータ20の面20a、20bには、第2シール部材56が一体化される。この第2シール部材56は、第2金属セパレータ20の外周端部に近接して面20aに設けられる外側シール58aを備え、この外側シール58aから内方に所定の距離だけ離間して内側シール58bが設けられる。外側シール58aと内側シール58bとは、積層方向の荷重に対して積層方向の変形量が略同一に設定される。

Claims (3)
- 電解質膜の両側に第1の電極と該第1の電極よりも大きな表面積を有する第2の電極とを配設した電解質膜・電極構造体を備え、前記電解質膜・電極構造体を第1および第2のセパレータ間に配設する発電セルを設けるとともに、前記電解質膜・電極構造体と前記第1および第2のセパレータとの間に、それぞれの電極面に沿って反応ガスを供給する反応ガス流路が形成される一方、前記発電セル間に沿って冷却媒体を供給する冷却媒体流路が形成される燃料電池であって、
前記第1および第2のセパレータには、第1および第2のシール部材が設けられるとともに、
前記第2のシール部材の前記第1の電極に対向する一方の面には、前記電解質膜と前記第2のセパレータとの間に配置される内側シールと、
前記第1および第2のセパレータ間に配置される外側シールと、
が設けられ、
前記内側シールと前記外側シールとは、積層方向の荷重に対して積層方向の変形量が略同一に設定されることを特徴とする燃料電池。 - 請求項1記載の燃料電池において、前記第2のシール部材の前記一方の面とは反対の他方の面、または前記第1のシール部材の前記第2の電極に対向する面とは反対の面には、前記冷却媒体流路をシールしかつ前記外側シールに対応して冷却媒体シールが設けられるとともに、
前記内側シール、前記外側シールおよび前記冷却媒体シールは、積層方向の荷重に対して積層方向の変形量が略同一に設定されることを特徴とする燃料電池。 - 請求項2記載の燃料電池において、前記内側シール、前記外側シールおよび前記冷却媒体シールは、それぞれ略同一形状を有しかつ略同一のシール線圧に設定されることを特徴とする燃料電池。
