Abstract
【解決手段】 変速制御部25は、複数の変速段を有し変速モータによりシフトアップが可能な内装変速ハブを変速制御するためのものであって、走行状態の検出結果が現在の変速段に応じたシフトアップしきい値を超えると、それに続く複数の走行状態の検出結果がシフトアップしきい値を超えているか否かを判断し、全ての走行状態の検出結果がシフトアップしきい値を超えていると判断したとき、高速側の変速段に変速するように駆動手段を制御する。ただし、走行状態の判断途中に連続して検出された2つの検出結果のうち後の検出結果が先の検出結果より所定値以上シフトアップ側に変化しているとき、それまでの判断が取り消される。

Description
図1において、本発明の一実施形態を採用した自転車は軽快車であり、ダブルループ形のフレーム体2とフロントフォーク3とを有するフレーム1と、ハンドル部4と、駆動機構5と、発電ハブ12が装着された前輪6と、4段変速の内装変速ハブ10が装着された後輪7と、前後のブレーキ装置8(前用のみ図示)と、内装変速ハブ10を手元で操作するための変速操作部9とを備えている。
変速及びロック操作は、変速操作部9の操作ダイヤル23によるモード選択及び操作ボタン21,22による変速操作により変速モータ29を動作させることにより行われる。
また、シフトダウンのときには、シフトダウンしきい値(VP)より検出された車速Sが低いとき、ただちに低速側の変速段に変速するように変速モータ29を制御する。このため、軽くなる変速方向への変速動作は、現在の変速段に応じたシフトダウンしきい値より下がるとただちに行われるので、ライダーへの負担が減少する。特に、発電ハブ29により走行状態を頻繁に検出できる場合にはシフトダウンのレスポンスが向上し、ライダーの負担がより減少する。
(a) 前記実施形態では変速装置として内装変速ハブを例に説明したが、変速装置としては複数のスプロケットとディレーラとからなる外装変速機構の制御にも本発明を適用できる。

Claims (9)
- 複数の変速段を有し検出される走行状態に応じて駆動部によりシフトアップ及びシフトダウンが可能な自転車用変速装置を変速制御するための自転車用変速制御装置であって、
前記複数の変速段に応じた前記走行状態のシフトアップしきい値及びシフトダウンしきい値が設定されるしきい値設定部と、
前記走行状態の検出結果が現在の変速段に応じた前記シフトアップしきい値を超えた後、それに続く複数の走行状態の検出結果が前記シフトアップしきい値を超えているか否かを判断する判断部と、
前記判断部による判断途中に連続して検出された2つの検出結果のうち後の検出結果が先の検出結果より所定値以上シフトアップ側に変化しているとき、それまでの判断を取り消す取消部と、
前記判断部により連続する検出結果が全て前記シフトアップしきい値を超えていると判断されたとき、高速側の変速段に変速するように前記駆動部を制御する第1制御部と、
を備えた自転車用変速制御装置。 - 前記判断部は、所定回数連続して前記シフトアップしきい値を超えているか否かを判断する、請求項1に記載の自転車用変速制御装置。
- 前記判断部は、所定時間連続して前記シフトアップしきい値を超えているか否かを判断する、請求項1に記載の自転車用変速制御装置。
- 前記走行状態の検出結果が前記現在の変速段に応じたシフトダウンしきい値を超えたとき、ただちに低速側の変速段に変速するように前記駆動部を制御する第2制御部をさらに備える、請求項1から3のいずれかに記載の自転車用変速制御装置。
- 検出される前記走行状態は、前記自転車の車速である、請求項1から4のいずれかに記載の自転車用変速制御装置。
- 前記車速は、前記自転車の車輪が1回転する間に複数回検出される、請求項5に記載の自転車用変速制御装置。
- 前記車速は、前記車輪に連動して回転する交流発電機からの出力により検出される、請求項6に記載の自転車用変速制御装置。
- 検出される前記走行状態は、前記自転車のクランクの回転数である、請求項1から4のいずれかに記載の自転車用変速制御装置。
- 前記駆動部は、前記自転車用変速装置に設けられ電力により作動する電動部品であり、
前記第1制御部は、前記駆動部を電気的に制御する、請求項1から8のいずれかに記載の自転車用変速制御装置。
