【請求項1】 II−VI半導体活性領域(24,28,30;64,68,60;124,128,130)と、
該活性領域に動作可能に結合されたII−VI半導体導波層(22;62;122)と、
該II−VI半導体導波層に隣接しかつ前記活性領域の外側にあり、そして暗線欠陥の発生を低減させる光吸収層(34;74;134)と、
前記導波層に隣接した光吸収層(134)上に堆積して前記導波層を規定した、高屈折率の低損失材料の層(136)と、
を含むII−VI半導体発光デバイス(10;50;110)。
【請求項2】 電子システム、光学データ記憶システム、光学通信システム、及び電子ディスプレイを含む群から選択される、請求項1に記載のデバイスを含むデバイス。
【請求項1】 II−VI半導体活性領域(24,28,30;64,68,60;124,128,130)と、
該活性領域に動作可能に結合されたII−VI半導体導波層(22;62;122)と、
該II−VI半導体導波層に隣接しかつ前記活性領域の外側にあり、そして暗線欠陥の発生を低減させる光吸収層(34;74;134)と、
前記導波層に隣接した光吸収層(134)上に堆積して前記導波層を規定した、高屈折率の低損失材料の層(136)と、
を含むII−VI半導体発光デバイス(10;50;110)。
【請求項2】 電子システム、光学データ記憶システム、光学通信システム、及び電子ディスプレイを含む群から選択される、請求項1に記載のデバイスを含むデバイス。
