Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1. 軸方向移動を生じる軸方向力が加えられる回転部材と、 前記回転部材の少なくとも一部に設けられたシール表面と、 前記回転部材に隣接配置される軸受と、 前記軸受に設けられたシール面であって、前記回転部材の前記シール表面に対 向して位置し、前記シール表面との間に軸受間隙を形成するシール面と、 前記軸受内に設けられた流体リザーバであって、前記シール面と前記シール表 面との間に形成される前記軸受間隙と連通する流体リザーバと、 圧力下の流体を前記流体リザーバへ供給するため前記軸受を通って前記回転部 材に隣接するボリュート区域まで延在する少なくとも1個の通路であって、前記 流体リザーバ内の前記圧力下の流体は、前記回転部材に加えられる軸方向力に対 抗するため前記軸受の前記シール面に作用するようになっている通路と、 前記軸受の前記シール面に設けられた複数のポケットであって、前記流体リザ ーバと連通するように配置されたポケットと、 前記軸受の前記シール面に設けられた複数のくさび形凹部であって、前記ポケ ットに隣接し且つ連通するように配置されるが前記流体リザーバとは連通しない 凹部とを有するスラスト軸受において、 前記リザーバからの流体が前記軸受の前記シール面の前記ポケットに流入し、 前記ポケット内の流体が前記回転部材の回転につれて前記回転部材に引張られ前 記くさび形凹部内へ流入し、前記回転部材の回転によって前記くさび形凹部によ り形成された漸減間隙へ前記流体が圧入されることで前記流体に加わる圧力が増 加し、前記凹部内の前記増加した流体圧が、前記回転部材に加えられる軸方向力 に対抗するため、前記軸受の前記シール面に作用するスラスト軸受。 2. 前記くさび形凹部は、前記ポケットから周方向で遠ざかるにつれて、深 さを減じている請求項1に記載されたスラスト軸受。 3. 前記回転部材は、前記ポケット内の流体を前記くさび形凹部に流入させ る方向に回転するように設計されている請求項2に記載されたスラスト軸受。 4. 前記流体リザーバは、前記軸受の前記シール面に設けられた環状溝であ る請求項4に記載されたスラスト軸受。 5. 前記回転部材は前記回転部材の軸方向移動を生じる対向方向の軸方向力 を受け、前記回転部材がは前記回転部材の反対側に第2シール表面を有し、第2 軸受が前記回転部材の前記反対側に隣接して前記軸方向力に対抗するために配置 されている請求項1に記載されたスラスト軸受。 6. 前記回転部材は液圧ターボチャージャ内に配置された翼車であり、前記 ターボチャージャは圧力下の流体を受容する前記ボリュート区域を画設し、前記 通路は前記ターボチャージャのボリュート区域と連通しており、それによって前 記ボリュート区域からの圧力下の流体が前記流体リザーバへ供給される請求項1 に記載されたスラスト軸受。
