- 【特許請求の範囲】 1. 流動媒体の加熱に関連して使用するための電気抵抗加熱部材にして、 (a) 支持表面を有する部材本体と、 (b) 前記支持表面上に巻き付き、前記部材の少なくとも一対の末端部に接続さ れた抵抗ワイヤと、 (c) 前記流体から前記抵抗ワイヤを密封状に包み込み、電気的に絶縁するため 前記抵抗ワイヤと前記支持表面上を覆って配設された熱伝導性の重合体被覆 にして、該重合体被覆は熱伝導性かつ非導電性のセラミック添加剤を含む重 合体被覆と、を含むことを特徴とする前記電気抵抗加熱部材。 2. 前記重合体被覆が少なくとも0.5W/m°Kの熱伝導率を有する請求項 1の電気抵抗加熱部材。 3. 前記重合体被覆が華氏200度(約93.3℃)を超える融点を有する熱 化塑性樹脂を含む請求項2の電気抵抗加熱部材。 4. 前記重合体被覆が繊維強化材を含む請求項3の電気抵抗加熱部材。 5. 前記繊維強化材がガラス、硼素、グラファイト、アラミド、又は炭素繊維 を含む請求項4の電気抵抗加熱部材。 6. 前記セラミック添加剤が窒化物、酸化物、又は炭化物を含む請求項1の電 気抵抗加熱部材。 7. 前記重合体被覆が該重合体被覆中に前記重合体100部当たり約60乃至 200部の前記セラミック添加剤の配合量を含む請求項6の電気抵抗加熱 部材。 8. 前記重合体被覆が射出成型された請求項7の電気抵抗加熱部材。 9. 成型作業中、前記抵抗ワイヤが前記重合体被覆中に完全に包み込まれた請 求項1の電気抵抗加熱部材。 10. 温水ヒーターにして、 (a) 水を収容するためのタンクと、 (b) 前記タンクの壁に取り付けられ電気抵抗加熱を前記タンク中の水の部分に 提供する加熱部材と、を含む前記温水ヒーターにして、 前記加熱部材は 支持フレームと、 前記支持フレーム上に巻き付き、少なくとも一対の末端部に接続する抵抗ワ イヤと、及び 前記流体から前記抵抗ワイヤを密封状に包み込み、電気的に絶縁するため前 記抵抗ワイヤ及び前記支持フレームの主な部分を覆って配設された熱伝導性の 重合体被覆にして、該重合体被覆は少なくとも約0.5W/m°Kの熱伝導率 を提供するための熱伝導性の非導電性添加剤を含む前記重合体被覆と、を含む ことを特徴とする前記温水ヒーター。 11. 前記重合体被覆が機械的強度を改善するための繊維状添加剤を含み、前記 熱伝導性の非導電性添加剤が窒化物、炭化物、又は酸化物を含む請求項10の温 水ヒーター。 12. 流体を加熱するための電気抵抗部材を製造する方法にして、 (a) 支持フレームを設ける段階と、 (b) 抵抗加熱ワイヤを前記支持フレーム上に巻き付ける段階と、 (c) 前記抵抗ワイヤ及び前記支持フレームの実質的部分上を覆って熱伝導性の 非導電性の重合体を成型して前記流体から前記ワイヤを電気的に絶縁し、密 封上に包み込む段階にして、前記熱伝導性の重合体被覆は少なくとも約0. 5W/m°Kの熱伝導率を有する、前記段階と、を含むことを特徴とする前 記電気抵抗部材を製造する方法。 13. 前記段階(c)が射出成型を含む請求項12の方法。 14. 前記熱伝導性重合体被覆が前記重合体100部当たり約60乃至200部 のセラミック添加剤を含む請求項13の方法。 15. 前記重合体被覆が熱可塑性樹脂、セラミック粉末、及び細断したガラス繊 維を含む請求項12の方法。 16. 前記熱可塑性樹脂がポリフェニレンスルファイドを含み、前記熱伝導率が 約0.7W/m°Kを超える請求項15の方法。 17. 前記熱可塑性樹脂が液晶重合体を含む請求項15の方法。 18. 前記段階(c)が前記抵抗加熱ワイヤと前記支持フレームを流動床ベッド に浸漬する段階を含む請求項12の方法。 19. 流動媒体の加熱に関連して使用するタンクの壁を介して配設することがで きる電気抵抗加熱部材にして、 (a) 重合体支持フレームと、 (b) 一対の末端部に接続された一対の自由端を有する抵抗加熱ワイヤにして、 前記抵抗加熱ワイヤは前記支持フレームの上に巻き付けられ前記支持フレー ムで支持される、前記抵抗加熱ワイヤと、及び (c) 非導電性の重合体被覆にして、前記被覆の熱伝導性を改善するための電気 絶縁性の熱伝導性セラミック添加剤を含有する前記非導電性の重合体被覆に して、該重合体被覆は前記流体から前記抵抗ワイヤを密封状に包み込み電気 的に絶縁するため前記抵抗加熱ワイヤ及び前記支持フレームの一部を覆って 配設された前記重合体被覆にして、該重合体被覆は少なくとも約0.5W/ m°Kの熱伝導率を有する、前記重合体被覆と、を含むことを特徴とする前 記電気抵抗加熱部材。 20. 前記セラミック添加剤がアルミニウム又はマグネシウムの酸化物を含む請 求項19の電気抵抗加熱部材。 21. 前記重合体被覆が細断したガラス繊維をさらに含む請求項20の電気抵抗加 熱部材。 22. 流動媒体の加熱に関連して使用するための電気抵抗加熱部材にして、 (a) 支持表面を有する部材本体と、 (b) 前記支持表面上に巻き付き、前記部材の少なくとも一対の末端部に接続さ れた抵抗ワイヤと、 (c) 前記流体から前記抵抗ワイヤを密封状に包み込み、電気的に絶縁するため 前記抵抗ワイヤと前記支持表面の実質的部分上を覆って配設された非導電性 の重合体被覆にして、該重合体被覆は該重合体被覆を介して少なくとも約0 .5W/m°Kの熱伝導率を達成するため熱伝導性かつ非導電性のセラミッ ク添加剤を含む前記重合体被覆と、を含むことを特徴とする前記電気抵抗加 熱 部材。 23. 流動媒体の加熱に関連して使用するための電気抵抗加熱部材にして、 (a) 電気抵抗ワイヤと、 (b) 前記電気抵抗ワイヤを取り囲んで電気的に絶縁するセラミック材料と、 (c) 前記セラミック材料及び前記電気抵抗ワイヤを包み込む金属シースと、及 び (d) 前記流体から前記金属シースを密封状に包み込み、電気的に絶縁するため 前記金属シースを覆って配設された熱伝導性の重合体被覆にして、該重合体 被覆は少なくとも約0.5W/m°Kの熱伝導率を有する前記重合体被覆と 、を含むことを特徴とする前記電気抵抗加熱部材。 24. 流動媒体の加熱に関連して使用するための電気抵抗加熱部材にして、 (a) 電気抵抗ワイヤと、 (b) 前記電気抵抗ワイヤを取り囲んで電気的に絶縁するセラミック材料と、 (c) 前記セラミック材料及び前記電気抵抗ワイヤを包み込む金属シースと、及 び (d) 前記流体から前記金属シースを密封状に包み込み、電気的に絶縁するため 前記金属シースを覆って配設された熱伝導性の重合体被覆にして、該重合体 被覆は熱伝導性かつ非導電性のセラミック添加剤を含む前記重合体被覆と、 を含むことを特徴とする前記電気抵抗加熱部材。 25. 前記重合体被覆は少なくとも約0.5W/m°Kの熱伝導率を有する請求 項24の電気抵抗加熱部材。
