Abstract

Refuse-derived fuel is used in conjunction with fuel oil for a burner of a rotary kiln to produce cement clinker. The fuel is moved from a bunker with a reciprocating bottom feeder where it is kept fluidised, to a belt weighter, mixed with fuel oil and is passed by compressed air to the kiln burner.
