Abstract

933,846. Compartmented containers. J. KROKER, H. REICHEL, and J. FOX. Nov. 2, 1961 [Nov. 2, 1960], No. 39325/61. Class 66. A compartmented container formed of synthetic plastics material, has a cover 4 common to the compartments, and weakened portions 10 which may be torn away by means of lugs 11 thereby enabling each compartment to be opened individually. Ribs 9 on the upper edges of the compartment walls 3 enter grooves 7 formed on the cover 4; and the cover edges 5 are received m a peripheral groove 6 in the container wall. In a modification, Fig. 3 (not shown), the portions 10 may simply be defined by weakened lines, and a wire may be incorporated in the cover to aid in removing the portions. Again, the portions 10 may take up only a part of each compartment end; or they may be formed in the side wall of the container rather than in the cover. The cover may be welded to the container body which may be polygonal, circular or oval in crosssection and of cylindrical or conical shape.
