A stackable container for moist goods such as fish made of substantially closed-cell plastic material particularly expanded styrene polymer and which has collecting and drainage channels 5b provided in the inside is characterized in that the container bottom is thicker in the longitudinal direction in its central region 2a than at its end regions 2b and is thinner than the container walls 3. Openings 3a are provided for the drainage channels 56. Recesses are provided in the short sides to facilitate carrying of the containers. Drainage channels 3<SP>1</SP> are provided at the top of the container to drain away moisture from the immediately overlying container when they are stacked.
