Abstract

893,999. Ventilating. CARRIER ENGINEERING CO. Ltd. Nov. 17, 1960 [Dec. 18, 1959], No. 43164/59. Class 137. A removable air outlet member for supporting in an open end of an air supply duct 15 comprises a row of nozzles 10, each end of the member being extended as at 12 to provide a groove 33 which snaps over a rod 34 disposed within the duct as the member is pushed into the duct. To hold two members side by side, a bolt 22 which screws into a flat bar 23 secured to the duct is provided as shown in Fig. 3. A number of outlets may be disposed as shown in Fig. 4, flanges 13 being provided to support decorative strips. To maintain a constant pressure the supply ducts 15 are separated from the main duct 16 by a partition having a longitudinal slot. The main duct may be lined with insulating material.
