Class 100(4) A number-printing apparatus comprises an axially displaceable shaft 10 for coupling the number printing wheels 5 to indicating wheels 4, for setting purposes, the shaft 10 being secured to adjusting discs 11, 12 each having a projection 13 for engagement with recesses 14 in the wheels, and a two-part sleeve 6, 7 each carrying a projection 15 engaging recesses 14 in the wheels, the indicating wheels 4 being secured against accidental rotation by means of a locking device 9, Fig. 1 (not shown). An indicator 8 adjacent the indicating wheels is attached to a knob 3, Fig. 2, secured to the shaft 10.
