Abstract

1,271,113. Securing knobs on spindles. ROBERT BOSCH G.m.b.H. 29 Aug., 1969 [30 Aug., 1968], No. 43045/69. Headings F2Q and F2U. [Also in Division G4] A knob &c. secured on a spindle is associated with an intermittent reduction gear drive arrangement indicating complete turns of the knob &c. As shown a knob 11 is secured on the squared end 10 of a valve spindle 9 and is axially positioned by a snap ring 13 engaging a fixed sleeve 12. An axial pin 17 secured in knob 11 engages recesses 16 in the inner surface of an eccentric rotatable ring 15, and is arranged to rotate ring 15 intermittently a step at the time for each complete turn of the knob, a detent 25 being provided to hold ring 15. The number of turns may be read off a scale through a window 22, and the knob may carry fractional graduations around its periphery.
