854,852. Thread-delivery stop-motion. SPINNUND ZWIRNEREIMASCHINENBAU KARLMARX-STADT VEB. Sept. 10, 1957 [Oct. 19, 1956; Dec. 17, 1956], No. 28467/57. Class 120(2). A device for stopping delivery when a thread breaks in machines for producing doubled yarn, comprises a pair of advancing rollers, one of which, 3, has a groove 9, and a lever 7 actuated when a thread breaks : the thread extends from a guide 2 in a loop around the grooved roller back to the guide and thread between the nip of the rollers, and when a thread breaks the lever displaces the broken end so that it is first entrained and carried round the grooved roller by the loop and then moved with the loop thread into the groove to prevent further delivery. The member 7 is shaped as shown in Fig. 2 with a guide-piece 6, and is normally supported by an arm 5 held in position by the thread when under tension. The groove 8 has a steeply-rising, flank and notches guiding the thread back between the rollers after re-tying.
