Abstract
778.541. Heat exchangers. AKTIEBOLAGET ROSENBLADS PATENTER. Jan. 26, 1956 [Jan. 31, 1955], No. 2565/56. Class 64(3) . In apparatus in which two heat exchanging fluids flow in flat, spiral paths, a pair of walls 4, 5 define therebetween two parallel-connected passages 3a, 3b for one of the fluids, said passages respectively emanating from the centre of the heat exchanger in two radially opposite directions and thence extending spirally one wound within and radially spaced from the other and defining between them two further spiral passages 7a, 7b for the other heat exchanging fluid. In the form shown, the hotter fluid flows from an inlet connection 10 to a central chamber 3 and through spiral passages 3a, 3b leading to outlet connections 12, 13 respectively. The cooler fluid is supplied to inlet connections 14, 15 and flows thence through spiral passages 7a, 7b to central chambers 6a, 6b leading to an outlet connection 11. The respective fluids may be passed in either direction through the spiral passages.
