Abstract

766,508. Bidet attachments for closets. KARP, H. Feb. 2, 1955 [Feb. 3, 1954], No. 3140/55. Class 26. [Also in Group XXVIII] Valves 17, 19, the control knobs 21, 23 of which are located in a container 13 provided with a hinged door 11 and secured to the outside of a flushing tank 15, respectively regulate the supply of hot and cold water through extensions 43, 45 of the valves to a mixing chamber 67 forming part of a hose reel unit, (see Group XXVIII), disposed within the tank 15 and housed in a casing 39. The reel is rotatably supported on the arms 43, 45 and the respective ends of the hose 31 on the reel are connected at 71 to the chamber 67, and to a control valve 33 located in the container 13 and having a screw-threaded plug 34 for the attachment of a douche nozzle 29 or other device. Secured to one side of the reel is a spiral spring 79 for rewinding the hose, and to the other side a pawl 89 adapted to retain the hose in any extended position. Check or vacuum breaking valves 93 are installed in the water supply pipes 95.
