Abstract
A connector secured to an aluminium heating element sprayed onto a glass plate (see Group XXXVI) is preferably made of a low expansion metal having substantially the same coefficient of expansion as the glass plate in the temperature range (about 32 DEG to 300 DEG F.) in which the heater operates. Examples of suitable alloys given are: 48-51 per cent nickel and 52-49 per cent iron; or 42 per cent nickel, 52 per cent iron and 6 per cent chromium; or 14 to 18 per cent aluminium and the balance iron.
