Abstract

707,837. Rotary pumps. BOLLIGER, H. May 29. 1952 [June 2. 1951], No. 13649/52. Class 110(2) The two rotors 9, 6 have peripheral contact due to the bearings 29, of the rotor shaft 8 being pressed downwards by springs 30. The bearings for the lower shaft 5 are fixed. Springs 14 press outwards the vanes 13 the tips of which sweep working chambers 19, notches 17 being provided in the rotors. Fluid under delivery pressure flows through ducts 22, 23, 26 to end chamber 24, 27, and through ducts 18 to the chambers 12, and helps to force the vanes outwards. A separate pump, or other means, may be used to supply the chambers 12. Abutment pins 15, in vane recesses 16, restrict the radial movement of the vanes. Gears 10 couple the shafts 8, 5. End discs 11 are provided on the rotors for sealing purposes.
