Abstract
848,760. Rotary pumps and motors. FRASER, A. June 27, 1958 [June 28, 1957], No. 20583/57. Class 110 (2). In a pump or motor of the outwardly-sliding vane type, each vane 30 comprises a sandwich of the parts 36 separated by a layer of rubber or other resilient material 37, bonded to the parts 36 and in shear so that the material 37 urges the two outer parts in opposite directions to provide sealing contact with the bore of the working chamber, The stator ring 10 and the side walls of the working chamber are lined with self-lubricating material such as polytetrafluorethylene. Liquid enters from an inlet 22, hollow shaft 21, radial ducts 28, 27 into working chambers 26, and is discharged through grooves 31 and ducts 32 into channels 33, annular ducts 35 to, discharge ports 34. The high pressure liquid presses under the vanes to assist sealing the tips. Specifications 843,188, 848,761 and 33131/56 are referred to.
