[Class 99(ii)] In a method of making a hose comprising a caoutchouc tube incorporating a helicaf wire reinforcement and a packing material, such as a cord of fibre &c. wound direct on to the caoutchouc and between the wire convolutions, the packing material is removed subsequent to vulcanizing, and diagonal webbing or a textile covering is applied.
