Abstract
551,049. Pressure-regulating valves. ROE & CO., Ltd., A. V., and REDRUP, C. B. July 2, 1941, No. 8340. [Class 135] A piston actuated pressure reducing valve adapted to be manufactured from plain bar material without the necessity of producing finely finished lapped surfaces, has a lift valve member carried by a differential piston arranged axially in the fluid conduit and acted on by both inlet an outlet pressures. The hollow piston d is closed at one end by a removable cap f with a slotted outer wall while the reduced part j passes through a partition n screwed in the main bore o and carries a valve member k adapted to cooperate with a seat m. A loading spring tending to open the valve is housed within the piston between the end cap f and an abutment i supported by a strut secured to a cross-pin in the inlet conduit a. The chamber on the outlet side of the valve is connected to the outlet conduit by a series of bores q surrounding the main bore, slots r, and a clearance around one end of the piston.
