Abstract

542,873. Drawing fibres. KOWARICK, F., and KOWARICK, A. F., (trading as KOWARICK & CIE, P.). March 31, 1941, No. 5475/40. [A Specification was laid open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, Sept. 30, 1940.] [Class 120 (ii)] In a high draft apparatus for spinning worsted and other fibres in which the fibres pass between two sets of rollers and belts supported by curved surfaces or by a series of small parallel rollers arranged to support the belts in a curved path, the belts are supported by a hyperbolicallycurved support which may be a plate or in part a plate and in part formed of a number of small rollers rotating on their axes. As shown the fibres are controlled between the rollers A, S and C, C<SP>1</SP> by belts F, F<SP>1</SP> running over the fixed hyperbolically-curved surface H; the tension of the belts may be adjusted by the roller S and a roller S<SP>1</SP> supporting the tape F<SP>1</SP>.
