Abstract

533,123. Attaching knobs &c. to spindles. UNITED-CARR FASTENER CORPORATION. Oct. 11, 1939, No. 27665. Convention date, Oct. 18. 1938. [Classes 44 and 89 (i)] A knob &c. for a wireless apparatus &c. is attached to a spindle 1 by means of a spring plate 11, 12, 13 through which the spindle passes. The spindle carries a screwed extension 10 engaged by tongues pressed out of the edge of the aperture through which the spindle passes. The base 12 of the spring plate carries wings 19 which are forced into frictional engagement with a recess 6 in the knob, and the aperture through which the spindle passes has an extension engaging lug 8 on the spindle when the knob has been screwed on to the part 10.
