Abstract
538,479. Alloys. MARCONI'S WIRELESS TELEGRAPH CO., Ltd. Feb. 1, 1940, No. 1957. Convention date, Feb. 1, 1939. Addition to 534,154. [Class 82 (i)] An alloy particularly for the core of an oxidecoated cathode for electron discharge devices consists of nickel containing more than 0.8 per cent. of cobalt and 0À02-0À05 per cent. of carbon, and free from materials capable of reducing the oxides of the coating. The range of cobalt may be up to 40 per cent., preferably 1-10 per cent. U.S.A. Specifications 2,029,482 and 2,072,576 are referred to.
