[Class 78 (i)] A furnace conveyer a<1>, which is driven by pinch or gripping rolls on the lower idle flight, has a loose loop k between these rolls and a guide roller b<1> at the entrance end of the furnace, this roller being positively driven at such a speed that it tends to move the belt faster than the main driving-rolls.
