Abstract
477,495. Ventilating aircraft. POLLAK, J. E. (Vapor Car Heating Co., Inc.) Feb. 4, 1937, No. 3380. [Class 137] [Also in Group XIII] A steam heating system particularly for use in aeroplanes comprises a radiator 6 in one of a pair of air conduits 1, 2, discharging through outlets 7, 9 into a main duct 3 leading to the space to be heated. The conduits 1, 2 have auxiliary outlets 8, 10 to the outer air, alternatively closable by swinging vanes 11, 13 respectively and operated by a reversible motor 15, the outlets 7, 9 being similarly regulated by the vanes so that any proportion of heated and unheated air may be delivered.
