[Class 75 (i)] Mantles of cross-section other than substantially circular are strengthened by restraining threads of mantle material extending from side to side of the mantle at those points where it is desired that the diameter shall not be increased. In the case of mantles consisting of inner and outer sheaths, which may be made as described in Specification 402,348, the restraining threads are provided in the inner sheath only.
