Abstract
410,374. Valve circuits for wireless reception. TELEFUNKEN GES. FUR DRAHTLOSE TELEGRAPHIE, 12, Hallesches Ufer, Berlin. Sept. 4, 1933, No. 24491. Convention date, Sept. 3, 1932. [Classes 39 (i) and 40 (v).] The potential developed across a resistance 15 by the anode current of a leaky-grid detector valve 13 is applied to the control grid 3 of a high-frequency amplifying valve 1 to vary the magnitude and /or sign of the internal impedance thereof and hence the damping of its anode circuit 10, 11 which is coupled to the grid circuit 12 of the detector 13. The valve 1 comprises also a positively-biassed screening grid 4, a positively-biassed perforated anode 5, a negatively-biassed "piling-up" grid 6 and an outer anode 7, in the order named, the latter electrode being positively biassed to a less value than that of the anode 5. The control potentials may alternatively, or in addition, be applied to the piling-up grid 6.
