385,748. Motor power plant. AKTIESELSKABET HELSINGFORS JERNSKIBS-OG MASKINBYGGERI, Elsinore, Denmark. Jan. 6, 1932, No. 398. Convention date, Feb. 26, 1931. [Class 110 (iii).] The power of an exhaust-steam turbine 3 is transmitted to the shaft 9 of the main reciprocating engine 1 through a releasable coupling 26 and chain drive 11. The chain wheel 10 comprises a rim 17 resiliently connected to an annulus 18, Fig. 3, which frictionally engages the hub 20 under the action of a spring-urged wedge ring 23. A valve permits the engine exhaust to pass directly to the condenser 4.
