Abstract
A pocket sized electronic map with a changeable disk facility. Disks used in the disk facility carry a map of a city. The device has a scroll facility allowing the display of any route in any direction; this route may be highlighted. The device allows the first part of a street name to be entered so that that street may be located on the map device. The device is equipped with an illumination means to permit use in poor light. The device is arranged so that it may be powered either from mains electricity or from a battery.

DESCRIPTION
A pocket sized electronic map with a changeable mini disk facility. The item shall be able to fold enabling the user to fit into a pocket. It shall also have a dual power use, either mains or battery power. If the user is an international traveller he or she may enter a disk of any major city. The map shall also have an illumination facility for use in poor lighting.
1 CLAIMS
1. The invention is a pocket sized electronic map, very similar to a personal organizer.
2.The electronic map shall have a changeable minature computor disk facility giving the user the ability to insert a map of any of the worlds major cities.
3. On the electronic map there shall be a scroll function allowing the user to follow a route in any direction.
4. The user simply enters the first few digits of the street name to locate the vicinity.
5. Also on the electronic map and route may be highlighted.
Claims (7)
1. The invention is a pocket sized electronic map, similar in size to a personal organizer.
2.
The invention shall have a mini computor disk facility, enabling the user to insert adisk of any major town or city in the world.
On the invention there shall be a scrollball function so one may follow any route in any direction.
The user enters the first few letters of the desired location to bring it on screen.

It may be used as a streetfinder or road map.
6. Any route may be highlighted and illuminated.
7. One way traffic systems, speed limits and cameras,and landmarks shall be on display.
