Abstract
213,000. Kitson Engineering Co. (London), Ltd., and Noblett, A. Dec. 22,1922. Atmospheric vapour burners; vaporizing- apparatus.-In an atmospheric vapour burner, a nipple cleaning needle 11 and a fuel-supply valve 17 are operated by cams 13, 18 respectively, formed on a spindle 14 extending through one end of a tube 4 connecting a vaporizing-tube 3 and a fuel-supply pipe 2. The needle 11 is mounted at the upper end of a hollow stem 12, which is provided, at its lower end, with a projection 12<a> extending into the tube 4, and is maintained in axial alignment with a nipple 10 by means of one or more guide-pieces 16 fitting slidably in the tube 3. A spring may be provided to ensure withdrawal of the needle 11 from the nipple 10. A curved mixing-tube 5 is supplied with air through a tube 7 extending downwardly to a perforated air-inlet casing 8. Specification 5757/01 is referred to.
