Incandescent gas burners.-A hit-and-miss airregulating sleeve a is provided with a notch, which engages parallel portions m of a wire operating- arm, the split loop n of which engages an annular groove i in a tubular mixing-chamber d of an inverted burner. The outer loop k of the arm may he provided with a fibre or other disc p. The mixing-chamber d is preferably formed integral with a mixing-tube e terminating in a screwed spigot f, which is passed through an aperture in a canopy or globe holder g and screwed into a union h, the end of the spigot below the internal screw-threaded part of the union being expanded to lock the parts in position. The union is externally screw-threaded for the attachment of the burner tube.
