Abstract
A shaft coupling arrangement for providing an auxiliary power take-off from a crank-shaft 1 of an internal combustion engine comprises a counter- bored hub 5 which is mounted on the crank-shaft end, a pair or pairs of conically tapered lock rings 6 located in the counter-bore 5a and a flanged stud 7 screwed into the end of the crank-shaft to press the hub axially towards an abutment member 4, thereby expanding the lock rings radially to lock the hub by friction to the shaft, the auxiliary drive being taken from the hub. <IMAGE>
