Abstract

13,358. Hardman, W. S., and Burdett, G. June 3. Ladders.-Folding ladders or step - ladders are constructed with split metal tubes for the sides A, and split metal tubes flattened at the ends for the rungs B, which are pivoted on pins or studs secured to the sides. The ladders are maintained in the open position, by stays C, pivoted to one side member, and detachably secured to the other side member by slots engaging threaded pins J provided with wing-nuts. According to the Provisional Specification, folding supports are provided, constructed similarly to the ladder.
