6775. Hircock, J. T. M. March 22. Ball and roller bearing hinges.-The leaves of a hinge with ball bearings are provided with projecting lugs adapted to contain race rings for receiving the balls or rollers. Within the lower race may be placed a spacer. The leaves a<1>, C, Fig. 1, are preferably shaped as shown, and have projecting lugs a<2>, d<2>, respectively, which are recessed to receive race rings B, d<3>, Fig. 2. Balls, rollers, or other antifriction bearings E are disposed between the race rings. The pivot pin b<1> is provided with a nut b<2> so as to secure the parts together. The head b<3> of the pin and the nut b<2> may be ornamented.
