Automatic instruments.-In an automatic musical instrument, the adjustment of a winding-roller in the longitudinal direction for bringing the tunesheet apertures into alinement with the tracker ducts, is controlled by means of a lever pivoted on the key-bed in proximity to the expression-controlling levers. A plate 16 is connected with a sliding rod 17 mounted in bearings 18 on the tracker box 12, and the rod 17 is connected by a lever 19 to a link 20, provided with a hand-lever 22, which is pivoted on the key-bed 21 in proximity to the expression lever 25. The link 20 is adjustably connected to the link 22 by a screw and nut 24 or the like. When the lever 22 is moved to the left, the motion is transmitted through the link 20, lever 19, rod 17, and plate 16, to the shaft 10 of the winding-roller, which is moved to the left against the action of a spring 14.
