Abstract
186,178. Lamont, J. W. F. July 2, 1921. Landing-nets.-An abutment l, on a telescopic handle j, k which is arranged to slide through a collar e, engages between net-supporting arms b, which pass through lugs f on, and are pivoted to, the collar e. Catches m, n hold the parts j, k, e axially immovable when open, and an axial pin- and-slot connection between the parts j, k prevents relative rotational movement. A catch q on the hand-grip j<1> engages a recess on the collar e when closed. Springs h tend to keep the arms b in the open position. When closed, with the abutment l engaging the closed outer ends of the arms b, the net is inserted into a scabbard container, the handle j<1> only protruding. The arms b are joined at their outer ends by a leather thong c or like flexible member.
