Abstract
The spring-pressure clutch has three discs (6, 2, 7) on an output shaft (3). The disc facing the fixed brake magnet (1) is designed as a pressure disc (6) and is acted upon by a compression spring (8). On the side facing away from the electromagnet, there is arranged a clutch disc (7) and, between pressure disc (6) and clutch disc (7), there is arranged an armature disc (2). The discs (6, 2, 7) are mounted in axially displaceable fashion on the shaft (3) and the central armature disc also has the ability to rotate thereon. While the armature disc (2) immediately brakes solid on the braking magnet during the braking process (1), a relatively small braking torque comes into effect on the output shaft (3). This braking torque is made up, on the one hand, of a friction torque corresponding to the contact pressure between pressure disc (6) and armature disc (2) and, on the other hand, of a friction torque corresponding to the magnetic attraction between armature disc (2) and clutch disc (7). As a result, very low braking torques are possible with full clutch torques. <IMAGE>
