1504928 Extracting solids with liquid; mixing apparatus SOC DES PRODUITS NESTLE SA 8 May 1975 [10 May 1974] 19397/75 Headings B1C and B1Q An apparatus for the extraction of materials suspended in a liquid comprises a tank for accommodating the suspension of material to be extracted, a compartment arranged in the tank comprising at least one chamber 8 or 9 communicating both with suspension via a filter 14 or 17 and with an adjacent chamber 10 with a perforated wall and a smaller crosssection, and a rotary element or turbine 18 arranged in the chamber 10 and capable of generating a liquid current passing through the filter 14, 17 to and through the compartment by causing liquid to flow outwardly through the perforated wall. The apparatus may be used for the extraction of fruit, spices and aromatic plants with solvent.
